Problem with iPhone ringtones?

So, my iPhone messed up a little while ago and I lost a bit of stuff, including my ringtones. I have it where I sync things manually, so I found the ringtones in my computer and dragged them over into iTunes, onto my phone and they synced, blah blah blah… But they weren't in my phone, so I restarted my phone and that didn't work. Then I saw that the ringtones were in the 'Tones' area in iTunes along with some other ringtones that I didn't know where already there, but not on my phone. So I put all the ringtones onto my phone once again, it synced… and the ringtones that I found were already in iTunes went onto my phone just fine, but not the ringtones that I was trying to put on my phone in the first place.! I tried checking the 'Sync Ringtones' box but it says it will delete all my music, videos, ect… What should I do to fix this?
